Piata muncii in Norvegia

În anii ’70, dezvoltarea platformelor petroliere din Marea Nordului, combinată cu o politică activă în domeniul pieţei muncii au dus la o rată a şomajului cu mult mai scăzută în Norvegia decât în alte ţări industriale. Totuşi, începând din anii ’80, globalizarea economiei i-a impus Norvegiei o mai mare dependenţă faţă de tendinţele economice mondiale, iar ratele şomajului din prezent tind să reflecte fluctuaţiile la nivel internaţional. În 2002, rata şomajului a fost de 3,9 % din populaţia activă. În ultimii ani, numărul populaţiei active s-a stabilizat în jurul cifrei de 2,0 – 2,1 milioane angajaţi. Numărul angajaţilor din rândul femeilor a crescut în mod exploziv în anii ’80 şi a rămas ridicat până în prezent. Există un număr considerabil de angajaţi cu jumătate de normă pe piaţa muncii din Norvegia. Doar puţin sub jumătate din numărul total al femeilor şi aproximativ 10 % din numărul total al bărbaţilor lucrează mai puţin de 36 de ore pe săptămână.
